Humane Society reduces pet costs
The Humane Society of Moffat County is hosting a pet adoption day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Craig Animal Shelter, located at Bear Creek Animal Hospital, 2430 E. Victory Way.
There are numerous adoptable dogs and cats available and reduced cost adoptions will be offered today and throughout the following week.

Firefighter's Ball today at the OP
The 71st annual Craig Fire/Rescue Firefighter's Ball, with a Hawaiian luau theme, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. today at the OP Bar and Grill, 534 E. Victory Way.
The dress is casual, and a prize will be awarded for the attendee with the best costume. Music will be provided by DJ Mason Siedschlaw.
The cost is $10 per person, with food and drinks available at an additional cost. Attendees must be 21 or older.
All proceeds from the event benefit a scholarship fund.

Students to perform Broadway numbers
The vocal students of Emily Pfeifer will present highlights from "The Scarlet Pimpernel" and other popular Broadway musicals during a recital at 6 p.m. today at the Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane.
The recital will feature students in costumes and a choreographed show.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
CNCC to host BBQ Wednesday
Colorado Northwestern Community College's Craig campus, 50 College Dr., will be hosting a Community Appreciation Barbecue from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The barbecue is CNCC's way of saying thanks to the community for its ongoing support of the community college.
The event is open to the public.
