Craig briefs: Health care expert to present today

The Craig Chamber of Commerce has invited Elizabeth Arenales, a health care expert and attorney with the Colorado Center of Law and Policy, to speak with the public about the effects of health care reform, the implementation timeline and what it means for businesses.

The presentation is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Craig City Hall, 300 W. Fourth St.

The presentation is free. RSVPs are required.

After-hours mixer set for Thursday



The Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors is having a business after-hours mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Anson Excavating, 789 Stock Dr., in Craig.

There will be a barbecue, and visitors will have a chance to view Anson Excavating’s equipment.

Purchasing for SHARE Craig food orders will take place at 10:30 a.m. June 29 at Sunset Meadows II, 595 Ledford St., and also at 11 a.m. the same day at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

Purchasing will also take place from 4:45 to 6 p.m. June 30 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St.

Open mic night slated for Friday

Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave., is hosting an open mic night Friday. Sign up begins at 6:30 p.m., and performances begin at 7 p.m.

Relay for Life to meet June 29

A Relay for Life committee meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 29 in the conference room at The Memorial Hospital, 750 Hospital Loop. A team captain meeting is set for 7 to 8 p.m. the same night.
