Craig Briefs: Entrepreneurship forums offered

The Sirolli Institute will host a session called, "The Passion and the Trinity of Management," which focuses on succeeding in a small business, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 221 W. Victory Way.

The event costs $15 and dinner is included.

The institute will also host a session focusing on how entrepreneurship development can help revitalize a regional economy. The session is called "Passion, Entrepreneurship and the Rebirth of Local Economies," and will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, also at the Pavilion.

Golf tournament tees off Saturday

The Moffat County Sheriff's Office is sponsoring its Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament Saturday at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

The cost to enter the tournament is $40 per player, plus non-members must pay a green's fee.

The format will be a scramble, and players may purchase two mulligans each. Players will form their own four-person teams.

There will be a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded to players whose shots are closest to the pin and have the straightest drives. Tournament prizes will be pro shop credits for first-, second- and third-place teams in the net and gross divisions.

All skill levels are welcome.

Entry forms are available at the golf course or by calling Rick Holford at 826-2308.

All proceeds go to Moffat County High School graduates pursuing higher education.

County accepting letters of interest

The Moffat County Commission is accepting letters from people interested in filling open seats on The Memorial Hospital and Moffat County Tourism Association boards.

Letters of interest will be accepted through June 11 and can be mailed to the following address:
