The Augusta Wallihan Chapter of the National Honor Society Daughters of the American Revolution is scheduled to host its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. today at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave.

WCRA seeking volunteers to clean
The Western Colorado Racing Association is seeking volunteers to help clean up the Hayden Speedway today and Sunday. Efforts begin at 10 a.m. at the track.

Craig mall to host Mother's Day event
The Spring Mother's Day Bazaar is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. There will be arts, crafts, candles, and jewelry available.

Church offering oil changes for mothers
In recognition of Mother's Day, the Church of Destiny is offering free labor on oil changes for single mothers and widows from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Craig Conoco, 140 W. Victory Way.
The gas station will offer use of its bay and church volunteers will perform the oil changes. The cost for the oil and filter is $20 from Conoco, or the women can bring their own.

A group of local crafters are trying to make items for area nursing homes and veterans, and are accepting donations of yarn, embroidery floss, small beads and/or pearls, fabric and batting material.
