Yampa River State Park and the American Legion Benjamin J. Hofstetter Post 89 out of Hayden are scheduled to host a Flag Day celebration at 4 p.m. Sunday at the state park.
The event is open to the public.
A daily parks pass or annual pass is required.

The Haven to host barbecue and dance
The Haven assisted living center's annual barbecue and barn dance fundraiser is scheduled for today at the facility in Hayden.
Food will be served from 6 to 8 p.m., and dancing will take place from 7 to 10 p.m.
The cost is $15 per person, $25 for couples, and $8 for students 6 to 18. The event is free for youths 5 and under.

Hayden hosting Huck Finn Day
Hayden Parks and Recreation and the Colorado Division of Wildlife will host the annual Huck Finn Day beginning at 10 a.m. today at Hayden Town Park.
Area youths are invited to participate and learn the sport of fishing.
Prizes are awarded for the biggest, smallest and first trout caught.
Participants are encouraged to dress up like Huck Finn or Becky Thatcher and enter to win a look-a-like contest as well.
Fishing will be followed by a free barbecue to all participants. Third Street will be closed and the public is advised to park at Hayden High School, or the elementary school.
