Craig BCA Pool League playoffs continue

The Craig BCA pool league finished the first week of its two-week playoff on Monday.

Jeans Angels and Crazy B's advanced from the Sunday night 8-ball league while Git-r-done and HD Ballbusters advanced from the Monday night 8-ball league.

Jeans Angels finished third in the Sunday night league's final regular play and Git-R-Done finished fifth in the Monday night league's final regular play.

Crazy B's and HD Ballbusters were both wildcards that advanced to the playoffs.

The four teams will play March 19 and 20, and the two winners will advance to the City Championships on March 26.

Motley Cue and Poke-N-Hope have already advanced to the City Championships after taking first and second, respectively, during the Sunday night regular play.

Good Guys and Up Against the Walls have also advanced from the Monday night regular play.

Moffat County Youth Basketball tourney set

The Moffat County Youth Basketball program will be hosting its annual Yampa Valley Classic youth basketball tournament Saturday and Sunday in Craig for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade teams.

There will be 42 teams from around the Western Slope and Wyoming, including nine teams from Moffat County.

Games will be played from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The games will be played at Moffat County High School, Craig Middle School, Sandrock Elementary School and Sunset Elementary School.

Brackets will be posted in each gymnasium.

The cost of admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students are free.
