Fairs, 4-H participants and livestock go together like bacon, eggs and orange juice, and the Colorado State Fair is just the place to display that combination. The State Fair is the event of the year to spotlight the hard work and dedication of Moffat County 4-H members. The Fair was held in Pueblo, Colo., Aug. 19 through Sept. 4, and Moffat County was well represented.
“This year we had two Champion Showman in market sheep, a Grand Champion Junior in leathercraft and 25 blue ribbons it was spectacular,” said Colorado State University Cooperative Extension Agent Ann Franklin. “It takes a lot of work to go to state, and all the kids did very well this year they really excelled.”
All the results have not been reported to Franklin’s office yet; the lambs and hogs are still out.
