Committee makes ‘Grand’ plans for May

Grand Olde West Days may mean four days of fun in the sun for hundreds of Yampa Valley residents, but it means months of hard work for the Grand Old West Days committee.
“We have eight to 12 members and their families, right down to the dogs and cats,” Co-chair and treasurer Cathy Gush, said.
Just weeks away from securing big label musicians and world class bull riders, the committee is only half way through its year-long process of planning Moffat County’s biggest event, Gush said.
Complete with concerts, carnivals, cook-outs and community interaction, Grand Olde West Days is kicking off its fundraising and sponsorship campaings in hopes of the ‘Days most successful season to date.
