Colorado Parks and Wildlife offers holiday gift ideas

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

During the holiday shopping rush there is one gift that often gets overlooked by Christmas shoppers, Colorado’s outdoors.

But Colorado Parks and Wildlife is making it easier to find that perfect gift for the outdoorsman in the family through its online e-store and Shop Outdoors.

Many of the Parks and Wildlife gift ideas start at just $5, according to an agency news release.

Among some of the gifts available online are parks passes that are good year round at all 42 Colorado state parks and gift certificates that never expire.

Annual passes also are available at all Colorado state parks and Colorado Parks and Wildlife offices in Denver and Littleton; regional offices in Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, and Durango; as well as many King Soopers, Safeway, City Market, Sportsmen’s Warehouse and REI stores around the state.

Shoppers also can find subscriptions for Colorado Outdoors magazine and dozens of nature inspired gifts like cook books, fishing guides, jewelry, clothing and toys.

In addition, renowned photographer John Fielder released two new books in time for the holidays — a guide to Lottery-funded outdoor resources and a celebration of 20 years of Great Outdoors Colorado accomplishments — both of which are highlighted by hundreds of new pictures.

Purchases support Colorado Parks and Wildlife, which manages 42 state parks and 300 state wildlife areas.
