Cassandra Vigil: Thank you for 5K support

Grand Futures Prevention Coalition would like to thank to all of the participants that attended our First Annual Zombie 5k Walk/Run on Oct. 24. The event was fun and a great success! Everyone who attended the event had awesome feedback and ideas for next year.

GFPC would like to thank the following businesses and organizations for their sponsorship or donations for the race: Boyko Supply, Gino's Pizzeria, KS Kreations, Horizon's Specialized Services, Identity Graphics, Hibbett Sports, and Health Works.

GFPC would like to thank The CNCC Salon staff and students for taking the time to do the makeup for our zombies. You all did and incredible job! We would also like to thank the Moffat County Teen Council, and all of the youth and community volunteers that helped with registration, decoration, set-up, clean-up, t-shirt distribution, and everything that helped the day run smoothly. We could not have done it without you!

GFPC is the only dedicated source of substance abuse prevention activities in the area. GFPC is committed to creating and supporting healthy, positive lifestyle choices as alternatives to substance abuse for youth in our community. We strive to do so in many different ways including youth and community alternative activities, community education, youth empowerment and much more. Programs offered by GFPC are designed to enhance protective factors and reverse risk factors associated with alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.

GFPC is currently seeking youth ages 13 to 18 to be a part of Moffat County Teen Council. If anyone is interested in becoming a member, please contact Cassandra at 970-824-5752 or cassandra@grandfutures.org for more information.
