Hens and Chicks to meet Friday
The Yampa Valley Hens and Chicks, the local chapter of the Farmgirl Sisterhood, will host its monthly meeting and a potluck lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St.

Free crochet classes offered
Free crochet classes will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and Sept. 16 at 655 Ranney St., in the back south building.
The project will be a potholder. Supplies needed include a size I crochet hook and four-ply yarn.

VNA offers free cardio screenings
In honor of National Cholesterol Education Month, the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering free cardiovascular screenings every Tuesday in September at the Community Health Center.
Screenings include total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, blood glucose and body mass index.

MCHS Class of 1992 schedules 20-year reunion
The Moffat County High School Class of 1992 has set the date for its 20-year class reunion. The reunion is scheduled for June 14 to 17, 2012.
The organizing committee scheduled the reunion for the same weekend as the Whittle the Wood Rendezvous to provide classmates and their families a broad range of activities.
Details for the schedule of reunion events will be released at a later date.
