The annual Jarvie Ranch Family Fest is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at John Jarvie Ranch.
The event features live music, cowboy poetry, horse-drawn wagon rides and many old-fashioned demonstrations.
Activities are free. Lunch, provided by the Browns Hole Homemaker's Club, is $5.
To get there, follow Colorado Highway 318 from Maybell to the Utah border. Jarvie Ranch is eight miles beyond the border on the maintained gravel road.

DOW rep to offer bear presentation
Jim Haskins of the Colorado Division of Wildlife offers a presentation on bears from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Yampa River State Park, 6185 U.S. Highway 40.
The event is free and open to the public.

Farmer's Market set to begin June 23
Craig's Farmer's Market is scheduled to begin June 23.
The market runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 22 at Alice Pleasant Park in downtown Craig.

Relay teams offering weekend fundraisers
Two Relay for Life teams are offering fundraisers this weekend.
Bank of Colorado's Pirates of the CURE-ibbean team offers a community barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the building's parking lot, 250 W. Victory Way.
A hot dog plate costs $3, and a hamburger plate costs $5. Pre-orders and delivery are available.
