Briefs for July 22, 2011: O.P. hosts poker run Saturday

The O.P. Bar & Grill will host its 15th annual poker run Saturday.

The event includes motorcycles and cars on a trip to Oak Creek, Steamboat Springs, Steamboat Lake, Hayden and back to Craig.

Participants will leave from the O.P., 534 E. Victory Way, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Registration begins at 9 a.m.

The cost is $10 per poker hand. A buffet following the event costs $7.

Chamber's 1st lunch mixer set for today

The Craig Chamber of Commerce's first lunch mixer is scheduled for today.

Cheer team hosts car wash Sunday

The Thunder Cheer Team is hosting a car wash from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at O'Reilly Auto Parts, 1005 W. Victory Way.

AARP meeting slated for Monday

Craig AARP Chapter 1418 has a meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

Sue Utzinger will present about a donated quilt from the Yampa Valley Piecemakers quilt club.

Donations will be accepted for the quilt.

Last Frontier to meet July 30

Preserving the Last Frontier will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. July 30 in the library on the second floor at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

Take items for "show and tell."
