Yampa Valley Partners presents its monthly 5:05 Drinks program from 5:05 to 6:30 p.m. today at Vallarta's Mexican Restaurant, 1111 W. Victory Way.
The focus of this month's program is backyard gardening and greenhouses. Speakers include experts from various local landscaping and produce businesses.
The event is free and includes free appetizers and drink specials.

Hayden church group hosting Soup & Salad Luncheon
Hayden Congregational Church Women's Fellowship will host its annual spring Soup & Salad Luncheon today at Hayden Congregational Church, 202 E. Jefferson Ave. Serving begins at 11 a.m. The cost for adults is $6 and $3 for children younger than 5.

Book club to review 'The Postmistress'

CNCC students to make presentation about Rome trip
Colorado Northwestern Community College students are scheduled to make a presentation on their spring break trip to Rome at 6 p.m. Friday at CNCC's Craig campus, 50 College Dr. The presentation is open to anyone.
Relay team hosting fundraising dance
The Rockstars Relay for Life team will host a fundraising dance at 8 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7.
The event includes music, games and food. The cost is $5 per person.

Teacher of the Year nominations sought
The Craig Daily Press is seeking nominations for its 2010-11 Teacher of the Year.
This is the sixth year the Daily Press will honor an area teacher for his or her commitment to students and for encouraging them to think outside the box.
Past recipients are Amy Pottinger, Rosie Crosthwaite, Sylvia Duncan, Deb Frazier and John Bolton.

Concert to benefit Jane Milligan
Blue Rooster will perform a benefit concert for Jane Milligan at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.
Tickets are $12 and a barbecue sandwich and drink is included.

Bar putt-putt tournament set for Saturday
The annual putt-putt golf tourney hosted by three local bars is scheduled for Saturday.
The event begins at 1 p.m. at Mathers Bar, 420 Yampa Ave., and continues at J.W. Snack's and The Popular Bar. Participants putt three holes at each location.
The cost is $20 per four-member team. Registration forms are available at any of the participating locations.
Spring Bazaar and Bake Sale scheduled for Saturday
The Ladies Mite Society will host its Spring Bazaar and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Craig Christian Church, 960 W. Victory Way. Homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee will be for sale.

American Legion bingo set for Saturday
American Legion Post 62 is hosting bingo Saturday night at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m., and games begin at 6:15 p.m. The progressive jackpot is now more than $1,000.
