Beef producers can get free yellow page listing

May 20 is the deadline for cattle ranchers to sign up for a free listing in Beef Business, the industry’s yellow pages directory.

Beef Business, a comprehensive multi-breed, multi-state directory, is a tool to help ranchers and those in related agri-business fields reach out to more customers. It is the only comprehensive source for the entire cattle industry, listing seedstock ranches, cow/calf producers and feeders in the High Plains and Mountain states. The listing deadline for the 2002 Beef Business directory is May 20, 2001 only weeks away.

To be listed, ranchers may call 1-800-748-1997 and request a listing form or connect to the web site, then complete and return a form electronically. Cattlemen forms are FREE and include operation information, descriptions and management practices.

For those in feedlot businesses or other related services, persons may request a form by phone or click the allied industry form on the web site. Allied industry listings are not free. Display advertising rate cards and demographics also may be requested off the Web site or by calling the toll-free number.

Beef Business is distributed year-round at major ag events, state fairs and expos throughout the region, as well as internationally through the Department of Agriculture. Originally serving just Colorado, the yellow pages directory has expanded to cover six states. It is published by the Ag Journal, Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and Colorado Livestock Association, along with support from the ag department and the region’s Angus, Gelbvieh, Hereford, Limousin, Red Angus, Salers, Shorthorn, Simmental and Tarentaise breed associations.
