Break out the flip flops and sandals — Craig is getting a heat wave this week compared to the past several weeks of rain and uncertain temperatures.
"We actually do have some great weather coming through," said Paul Frisbie, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction. "The threat of thunderstorms are definitely turning lower (Monday) afternoon."
Monday's temperature will hit a high of 85 degrees with only a 10 percent chance of isolated thundershowers, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday evening will remain mostly clear with a low of 45 degrees.
The sun will continue to shine bright Tuesday with a high of 82 degrees and a southeast wind about 5 to 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.
Craig residents and visitors can expect temperatures to drop slightly Wednesday to 77 degrees, and Thursday, the high should linger about 78 degrees.

During the weekend, sunshine seekers will be in luck, pending no drastic weather changes mid- to late-week.
"There's great uncertainty, but there is tropical storm system off of Baja (called Andres) that it could actually make a surge into Utah and Colorado towards the end of the week," Frisbie said. "It draws up moisture in our region. There's always potential for significant rain, but at this time that's just speculation.
Friday's forecast brings a low chance for isolated showers, but the temperature will hover about 72.
Weather reports are currently indicating Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny with highs between 72 and 74 degrees.
