Kaylin Boss: Plow streets better

This is a reference to Tucker Street, as well as, the majority of streets in Craig. The snow removal this winter (2015-16) has been unacceptable.
The snow removal, or lack of, has been very poor this year. The plows drive through town every night yet I continue to see no progress on the any of the streets, besides the main ones, (Yampa Avenue and Victory Way). I live on Tucker Street and in my opinion it’s probably one of the worst I’ve driven. The ruts in the snow high-center my car, has ripped the cover to my timing belt completely off and have ruined my shocks. I have lived in Craig for 20 years, and have never seen the roads like this, frankly, it’s dangerous to drivers, hard on vehicles, and very expensive to fix the damages.
Some ideas that could help the snow removal process be more efficient are:
1) Remove snow during a sunny day when the snow has turned into slush to make it easier to plow.
2) Expand the areas that the drivers plow, (i.e. side streets).
By writing this letter, I am hopeful that I will see a change in the snow removal on our streets. Thank you for your time, and I hope the appropriate steps are taken to benefit Craig’s drivers and keep them safe.
