Russell George: Wish Mary Morris well

In my tenure here at Colorado Northwestern Community College, there are a handful of people I think have truly captured the heart and soul of what this college stands for. Mary Morris is one of them. She has been an integral part of CNCC for the past 25 years, in roles ranging from administrative support to, most recently, the director of our community education program.

Her official roles aside, the trait that has really set Mary in a league by herself is her heart and passion for education, and learning in every stage of life — from that of school kids to senior citizens.

As Mary retires at the end of this year, I would like to personally invite the entire community to a reception we have planned to honor Mary’s service to Craig and to CNCC. It will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Bell Tower on Friday.

Please come and help us show Mary what her years of dedication and service have meant to our community.

Thanks and we hope to see you there.

Russell George

CNCC president
