Fitness Tip: How are you walking?

There are some strategies that can help you be a better walker. First, bend your elbows. This will cause your arms to swing faster which in return will help your legs move faster. Second, keep your stride short. Don’t take long strides that feel awkward. Third, think heal-to-toe. Push off with your heal and your toes should leave the ground last. Fourth, keep your abs pulled in and tight. Finally, include interval training walks that include periods of very brisk walking followed by slower, recovery times. Incorporating these concepts will help you be more efficient.
