Superfood tip: Cherries

Oh, cherries, the summer-splurge fruit of Colorado. They are so tasty, and even the pickiest eater may try and like this fruit. Cherries have a unique nutrient profile. This “stone fruit” helps manage blood pressure because of its high potassium content. It also has shown to reduce inflammation caused by gout because of its very high antioxidant content. Cherries also contain melatonin, which helps us relax and sleep. To top it off, there are only five calories per cherry and loads of vitamin C.
