Registration for water aerobics during the winter is now open through Craig Parks and Recreation.

Water aerobics offer a low-resistance method of exercise and can improve fitness and flexibility. The classes for the most recent session ended Wednesday, but the next session is available starting Jan. 27. Classes are 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through March 26.

Signing up for the entire session costs $45, or those interested can attend individual classes for $4. For more information, call Craig Parks and Recreation at 970-826-2017.

Open gym basketball at CMS

Craig Parks and Recreation hosts open gym basketball during the winter at Craig Middle School.

Pick-up games and shoot-arounds are from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. They run through Feb. 13. Anyone 15 years and older is welcome to attend. Those interested can purchase a punch pass or pay a gym fee of $2.50 to supervisors each night they attend.

Stagecoach State Park hosts ice tourney



Steamboat Great Outdoors will host the third annual Steamboat Great Outdoors Ice Fishing Tournament from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Stagecoach State Park.

The tournament is limited to trout species only. Cash prizes will be awarded, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Oak Creek Fire Corps. For tournament rules and registration forms visit www.steam

The tournament is limited to 200 adult entries. Youths can participate for free and are eligible for non-cash prizes. Adult advance registration is $25, and the day of the event is $35. Early registration and payments will be accepted until 3 p.m. today at Spiros’s in Oak Creek, Elk River Snack Shack in Steamboat Springs, or by mail to Steamboat Great Outdoors, P.O. Box 770184, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477.

The 2014 Colorado Parks and Wildlife regulations apply to all participants. A valid park pass is required, and carpooling is highly recommended, as parking may be limited. OHVs and snowmobiles are permitted at your own risk, for fishing access only on the lake surface.

Adult indoor soccer at the Boys and Girls Club

Bill Sawer is hosting coed indoor soccer for adults at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig.

The five-on-five games are for players of all skill levels and cost $2 per player, per night. Those coming should wear tennis shoes. Games take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday nights through March.
