Superfood Tip: Sweet potatoes

Ever wondered which potato to choose — the white or sweet potato? Both medium-sized potatoes offer approximately 130 calories and 4 grams of fiber per serving. Both provide a significant source of potassium and Vitamin C and contain little to no sodium. But the sweet potato edges out the white potato. It contains 400 percent of the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin A, Calcium, Manganese, and more B6 and Vitamin C. Consider maximizing the potato’s super food potential by serving them with half the amount of fattening fixings. And as a rule of thumb: when looking for the most nutrient dense produce, go for those with a deep, rich color.
