Northwest Colorado could be in for a varied week when it comes to weather.
The lingering cold of the weekend will stay in the area throughout Monday, as some expected early morning fog turns into mostly sunny skies complete with chilling winds that will keep the temperatures no higher than 20 degrees. However, Tuesday will see more warmth.
“It will be getting right up into the 30s, 31, 32, and that’s where Craig should be about now,” said Tom Renwick, meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Grand Junction office.
Wednesday and Thursday’s highs will stay in the mid-20s during the day, but National Weather Service currently is showing two different models for Friday’s activity, one showing minor precipitation and one showing none at all.
“Basically, keep your fingers crossed if you want snow, and keep your fingers crossed if you don’t,” Renwick said.
