The spring sports season is starting soon in Colorado and Moffat County High School will host another parents night in advance of practice beginning.
Under Colorado High School Activities Association rules practice for baseball, girls soccer, girls golf, boys swimming and track and field can begin Feb. 24. MCHS will host a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18 led by Rick Schmitz, the school district’s athletic director, to discuss expectations for spring sports athletes and teams.
Coaches of the teams will also be in attendance for parents to meet. The meeting will take place at the high school commons.
Adult indoor soccer at the Boys and Girls Club
Soccer Bill Sawer is hosting coed indoor soccer for adults at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig.
The five-on-five games are for players of all skill levels and cost $2 per player, per night. Those coming should wear tennis shoes. Games take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sundays from now through March.

Last days for open gym basketball at CMS
Craig Parks and Recreation hosts open gym basketball during the winter at Craig Middle School.
Pick-up games and shoot-arounds are from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. They run through Feb. 13. Anyone 15 years and older is welcome to attend. Those interested must pay a gym fee of $2.50 to supervisors each night they attend.

Water aerobics exercise available at Moffat County High
Locals looking to get a different method of exercise can do so at the MCHS pool with water aerobics through Craig Parks and Recreation.
Water aerobics offer low-resistance exercise and can improve fitness and flexibility. The current session began Jan. 27 and runs through March 26. Classes are 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
