One serving offers 153 calories, 13 grams of heart healthy fat, six grams of protein and three grams of fiber. They also contain antioxidants, including lutein and zeaxanthin. Eating them in-shell helps to slow consumption and feel more satisfied on less. Their bright color makes for great addition to salads, grain dishes and as a coating for meats.
