Craig BCA planning new leagues for next season
The pool league in Craig is in the middle of a two-week break but has come out with a big announcement for the 2014-15 season.
After the current 8-ball season concludes at the Popular Bar with the playoffs in May, BCA will start the first of two planned 9-ball sessions for the following year. Along with the usual 8-ball season, that will allow three different teams the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas for the national championships.
The first session of 9-ball will be played at 5 p.m. Sundays beginning June 1 and going into December. The second session will run from January to April 2015, with the winners of each league advancing to nationals.
In order to be sanctioned, each league must have at least six teams. Teams can be made up of three to six players apiece.
The next season of 8-ball will begin in September and run through April 2015, with the playoffs in May once again.
Registration for all the upcoming seasons is available at the Popular Bar or on the Craig BCA website.
