Friday, April 18

Mitchell Lawrence Epstein, 45, of Carbondale, was booked into Moffat County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, exceeding the speed limit and having an open marijuana container in a motor vehicle.

Saturday, April 19

Cody Lee Jones, 22, of Stevenville, Mo., was booked into Moffat County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, prohibited use of a weapon and failing to obey official traffic control devices.

Monday, April 21

Theresa Rebecca Bennett, 48, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, failing to obey official traffic control devices and not carrying a driver’s license.

Friday, April 18

4:02 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Rose Street for a report of theft. There was a report of identity theft involving food stamps. The investigation continues.

6:12 p.m. Officers responded to the 2000 block of West Victory Way for a report of theft. Medication was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The investigation continues.

Saturday, April 19

1:00 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of West Victory Way for a report of theft. A DVD player was reported stolen and an adult male was issued a summons for theft.

1:18 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Seventh Street and Ranney Street for a traffic stop. Officers contacted an adult male who was later issued a summons for illegal possession/consumption of alcohol by an underage person.

1:51 a.m. Officers responded to the 000 block of block of West Victory Way for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted an adult male who appeared to be sleeping in a vehicle. The adult male was issued a summons for driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

11:31 a.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of Riford Road for a citizen assist. There was a report of a person yelling which turned out to be a dog owner trying to separate two fighting dogs.

7:42 p.m. Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Sixth Street for a report of a disturbance in progress. The parties involved agreed to calm down.

Sunday, April 20

8:45 a.m. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Barclay Street for a report of criminal mischief. There was a report of vandalism in which a window was broken out of a vehicle. Upon investigation it was discovered that several vehicles had broken windows broken on Barclay. The cause seemed to be from a BB gun.

6:38 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of East Victory Way for a traffic stop. Officers contacted an adult male after observing a child not in a car seat. The male was issued a summons for driving a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failing to provide an approved child restraint.

9:13 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of West Sixth Street and Ranney Street for a traffic stop. An adult female was issued a summons for an inoperable headlight and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Monday, April 21

9:56 a.m. Officers responded to Ledford Street for an arrest.

4:49 p.m. Officers responded to the 800 block of West First Street for a report of domestic violence.

2:57 p.m. Deputies responded to Highway 40 near Mile Post 31 for a traffic stop.

1:33 a.m. Deputies responded to South Ranney Street for a report of an open door.

10:39 a.m. Deputies responded to Highway 13 near Mile Post 100 for a traffic stop.

1:49 p.m. Deputies responded to Highway 40 near Mile Post 88 for a traffic stop.

2:39 p.m. Deputies responded to Brontosaurus Boulevard for a follow-up investigation.
