The MCHS boys soccer team visited Roaring Fork in Carbondale Thursday and lost to the Rams, 3-0. The Bulldogs fell to 0-2 this season.
After giving up the first goal of the game the Bulldogs earned a penalty kick and had a chance to tie. Nestor Arrellano scored on the rebound after his penalty shot was saved, but that goal was disallowed by the referee due to a new rule this season.
Head coach Rusty Cox said after that Moffat County’s play dipped. Roaring Fork would later score on a penalty kick of its own and another goal.
The boys soccer team plays next at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Rifle.
