Wednesday is the last day for registration for fall adult coed volleyball leagues. The season will begin Monday, Sept. 9
Craig Parks and Recreation will have competitive and semi-competitive volleyball leagues for all interested. Teams must have at least three players available in order to play, with a maximum of six players on the court at once.
The cost to join the league is $125 per team and $10 per team member. The competitive league will play Monday nights and the semi-competitive teams will play Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Booster club open meeting Wednesday
The Moffat County Booster Club is hosting an open meeting Wednesday in the high school cafeteria area.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and begin plans for the 2013 Homecoming, including float building and sponsors, tailgating and athlete dinners. All are welcome to attend and contribute to the discussion.
Parks and Rec seeking football, basketball officials
The Craig Parks and Recreation youth football season is approaching quickly, and the league is looking for officials.
The youth basketball leagues for third- through sixth-graders also are coming up, and Parks and Rec is seeking officials for that, as well. For basketball, prospective officials must inquire about the 2013 season by Oct. 16.

Pool league in Craig begins Sept. 15
The Craig Billiards Congress of America pool 8-ball league begins Sept. 15. League events take place at Popular Bar, 24 W. Victory Way.

Parks and Rec basketball signups open
The youth basketball leagues through Craig Parks and Recreation are open for registration.
The leagues for third- and fourth-grader boys and girls, and fifth- and sixth-grade boys and girls, will begin with a mandatory skills days Sept. 23 through 26 at Sunset Elementary School. The skills days and league seasons will focus on teaching children the basics of the game and help develop an understanding of the rules of basketball.
Dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding and offensive and defensive principles will all be covered.
Games will begin in October. Registration closes Sept. 18.
