To the editor:
There are many good men in our community, and Jim Loughran, a candidate for the Moffat County School Board of Education, is one of them. I would like to endorse him for that position. After 30 years of teaching and coaching at Moffat County High School, Loughran retired and began a successful career as a salesman for Dactronics. He currently owns and runs a small business in Craig. Loughran is a father of four grown children who graduated from Moffat County High School. Because of his background in teaching and watching his children learn and grow while attending school in Moffat County, he has continued to be passionate about the school system and the education that children in Moffat County are receiving. I have known and worked with Loughran in the Moffat County School District for 30-plus years. Every decision he made was based on what he thought was best for the students he was involved with. Jim is an honest, very hard-working and conscientious man with high moral principles and a big heart. I know that he will work to be the best school board member that he possibly can be. He simply just cares about the education process so that the students in Craig will have the best resources available to achieve their goals. He is a leader in our community and is exactly the type of person who will help guide our school district towards continual growth and improvement. Thank you.
