Fitness Tip: Exercise provides a slew of benefits

There are several benefits of daily exercise such as reducing chances of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and diabetes. It also decreases symptoms of depression and anxiety, prevents weight gain and promotes weight loss, and it improves functions of the heart and lungs as well as the quality of life. According to the Harvard School of Public Health, “If exercise and regular physical activity benefit the body, a sedentary lifestyle does the opposite, increasing the chances of becoming overweight and developing a number of chronic disease.”
