Moffat County is the host of this year’s Northwestern Colorado 4-H Livestock, Rabbit, Poultry, Dog and Horse Exposition that will be held June 10 to 13 at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig.

An autopsy has confirmed that a 5-year-old boy drowned after falling into a pond in the southernmost part of Routt County on Thursday.
Several groups gather at the Craig Trap Club and the Cedar Mountain Range Sportsman Club to test their speed or accuracy (sometimes both) with various firearms. All these groups share passion for having fun shooting guns.
Officers responded to a one-car rollover accident Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 78 west of Craig. The driver was removed from the car with Jaws of Life and taken to The Memorial Hospital in Craig. The accident is still under investigation, but alcohol is suspected as being a contributing factor in the crash.

Moffat County High School graduate Tiffany Schulze will go to Grand Island, Neb. for the 2013 National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational June 23 through 28 and shoot in the compound archery competition. She earned a spot nationals for placing high enough at the Colorado 4-H archery competition last August.

A memorial service for Asher Lesyshen-Kirlan is at 4 p.m. Monday at Howelsen Hill. Har Mishpacha, Steamboat’s Jewish community, is holding a Shabbat healing service in Asher’s memory at 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church.
