Senior Spotlight for May 6, 2012

It looks like the weather might cooperate so people can get all those spring things done. Baseball, soccer, track and the other outdoor sports might get a chance to get caught up before the school year is done. Kids are ready for the end of school and everyone is looking forward to the summer fun times of camping, vacations and just enjoying the sun.

You don’t have to look too hard to see that yard sale season is in full swing and the use of cardboard boxes has gone up. In all your activities, remember that it is a busy time for everyone and attention spans are not always at the highest, so drive carefully and watch out for bicycles and motorcycles.

Road construction also is on the rise; there are signs as you head west from Craig and it’s a bumpy ride for a mile or more between Meeker and Rifle. Expect delays there, not sure about east or north, but you can bet there will be some along those roads somewhere.

Wishes for a happy birthday go out to Sarah VanGrandt, Maddelynn Ganskow, Paul Ruckman, Christina Tabor, George Davidson, Faye Paulson and Shirley Rogers.

Get well wishes go to Percy Martinez, Annie Montes, Jean Goldstein, Faye Paulson and Patty Hintz.

Don’t forget the Friday noon potluck at Sunset Meadows I; bring a little something and join us for a nice lunch.

News, birthdays, anniversaries, etc., always are welcome. Just give me a call 824-2139 or email maryjobrown137@yahoo.com. I look forward to hearing from you all.
