Congressman Scott Tipton, R-Cortez, will be in Craig on Wednesday to thank voters for their support during the November general election.
The three-stop Craig tour begins with a Coffee with Congressman Tipton event from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Cool Water Grille, 337 W. Victory Way. Coffee, tea and Danish will be served.
“One of the great benefits of representing the 3rd Congressional District is getting the opportunity to visit Northwestern Colorado, one of the most beautiful spots in the state,” Tipton said in a statement. “I certainly am looking forward to visiting with constituents in Craig, and listening to the issues that are on their minds, as well as sharing an update on what’s happening in Washington.”
Tipton also will meet with the Moffat County Commission to discuss regional policy issues from noon to 1 p.m. in the downstairs conference room at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way.
Tipton will round out his Craig visit by meeting with Bureau of Land Management Hot Shot firefighters to discuss wildfire mitigation efforts and forest health from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Little Snake Field Office, 455 Emerson St.
Tipton’s meetings Wednesday will conclude a two-day visit to the Yampa Valley.
