Craig A community meeting about a plan to construct sidewalks near two Craig schools is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in Craig City Council chambers, 300 W. Fourth St.
In August, the City of Craig, with the assistance of the Moffat County School District, learned it had won a Safe Routes to School grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation to construct sidewalks in the vicinity of Craig Middle School and Sandrock Elementary School.
Thursday’s meeting will provide community members the opportunity to review the preliminary engineering plan with the city’s consulting engineer, Drexel, Barrell & Co., of Steamboat Springs.
Sidewalks are being designed for the south side of 10th Street between Washington and Colorado, the east side of Russell Street between Eighth and Ninth, the west side of Rose Street between Eighth and Ninth, the east side of Breeze Street between Ninth and 10th, and the east side of Tucker Street between Eighth and Ninth.
For more information about the meeting, contact Craig City Manager Jim Ferree at 826-2023.
