— The Ridgeview Elementary School library and literacy team will host three days of “Books and Breakfast” to celebrate Dr. Seuss and literacy next week.

Moms, dads, guardians and grandparents are invited to attend one of three 7:30 to 8 a.m. sessions next Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday in the library and lunchroom.

Monday’s theme is Moms and Muffins; Tuesday’s is “Dads and Doughnuts” and Wednesday’s is “Grandparents, Guardians and Granola.”

Light continental breakfast treats and juice will be served and books will be available for kids and family members to read.

A news release from the Ridgeview Elementary library and literacy team said if a day other than the one assigned works better, guests are invited to swap a day.

The celebration also will feature a book exchange during lunch March 8. Students can bring in as many as three books to exchange. Books should be in good condition with no writing, coloring or torn pages.
