The Craig Billiards Congress of America pool league is done for the summer, with a champion crowned for the 2012-13 season
The league held a 12-team championship at the Popular Bar with the best from its two fall and two spring leagues competing for the title of best in town, as well as earn the right to play in the 2013 BCA Pool League National Championships July 27 in Las Vegas, Nev.
In the end, it was the team of Just Shooting the S--- which took the championship. The team had taken third place in the Sunday spring session of 8-ball, but took advantage after earning its playoff spot.

CPW Cast, Blast and Twang to teach sportsman techniques at Wyman Museum
Colorado Parks and Wildlife, in cooperation with the Northwest Colorado Outfitters Chapter, Yampa Valley Chapter of Safari Club International and the Wyman Museum, will host "Cast, Blast and Twang" Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wyman Museum in Craig.
The festival is free for the entire family and will feature the basics of archery, fishing and shooting as taught by CPW officers and volunteers. Angling, archery and shooting equipment will be provided at the event. Anglers may bring their own equipment if they choose, but CPW requests that all outside guns and archery gear stay at home.
All anglers over 16 must have a current fishing license in order to fish at the event.
Space is limited for Cast, Blast and Twang, which will also serve a free barbecue lunch for those participating.

Parks and Recreation summer children’s camps
Craig Parks and Recreation is putting on two upcoming summer sports camps for local youth.
First is the British Soccer Camp, now a staple in Craig in the summer, from July 8 through12 at Woodbury Sports Complex. The camp, run by young professional soccer players from England, is for boys and girls ages three to 16 of all skill levels. The players will be broken into age groups.
To register, go to www.challengersports.com and search for the City of Craig Parks & Rec British Soccer Camp. The price varies based on the age of the participant and the different camp levels. All registration costs increase by $10 after June 28.
There will also be a cheerleading camp for first through sixth-graders beginning July 22.
The program will have practices Mondays and Thursdays and last through the end of the football season in October. First through third-graders will work in one group while fourth through sixth-graders will be another.
The cost for cheerleading camp is $60 with the registration deadline July 17. For more information call 970-826-2004.
Booster club hosting mud run and mud volleyball event
Moffat County is getting in on the obstacle course races that have stormed the nation over the past couple years.
The Moffat County Booster Club is sponsoring the first ever Moffat County Dirty Dawg Dash and Dig Saturday, July 13 at Loudy Simpson Park. It will combine the mud summer mud volleyball tournament hosted by the Craig Chamber of Commerce for years with a five-kilometer muddy race and obstacle course.
Teams of six to 10 people can sign up for the volleyball tournament, which costs $200 per team. People can sign up for the 5k individually ($40) or as part of a team of four to 10 members ($35).
The two events will combine for one all-day mud fest. Signups for everything cut off July 1, after which the cost will jump significantly, event organizer Sara Linsacum said.
