Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association employees enjoyed a warm round of golf before the rain came Saturday, as well as a day away from work at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

One hundred and eleven golfers formed 28 teams for the scramble tournament for bragging rights at work for the next year. The teams vied for the title over the full 18 holes for the morning and early afternoon.

In a closely contested event, the team of Trever Hyer, Randy Larson, Lisa McCurdy and Ferrel McCurdy shot the lowest, posting a 63 as a team.

Brad Reidhead, Billy Ivy, Preston Ivy and Bret McMillen came up one stroke short at 64, while 12 other teams shot under par on the day. The tournament, one of the largest at Yampa Valley Golf Course this summer, also featured door prizes.

Dan Ray, Sherma Ray, Russ Turner and Kulen Turner shot 76, but had the best net score adjusted after handicap, a 48.3.
