Northwest Colorado works toward better broadband

The Northwest Colorado Technology Planning Team of Routt, Moffat and Rio Blanco counties met Wednesday afternoon to discuss the status of the broadband.

Mine safety class preps workers for disaster

It was bright at the Moffat County High School football field Wednesday afternoon, but teams were decked out in black gear as if they were rescuing people trapped miles underground. It was all apart of a mine safety class.

Twentymile proposes hauling more coal by truck on Routt County road

Twentymile Coal Co.'s existing special-use permit with the county is set to expire at the end of this year. In addition to trucking more coal, the mine is asking for a five-year extension to the permit.
