Craig This fall, hunters will have access to the amazing content that the Craig Daily Press and community produce for our widely read Colorado Hunter magazine.
Yet, we can’t produce the publication without your help. Each year, we save a large chunk of the magazine for reader photos and written submissions. That means you have an opportunity to have your hunting photos and stories printed in our magazine.
Last year, we allocated 10 pages of the publication for hunter photos and seven pages for stories written by various community members. Flipping through the pages of 2012's magazine, all I can say is, “Wow.”
Your photos and stories are impressive. What’s more impressive is the sportsmanship and joy that each submission highlights.
I welcome you to send us your photos and stories from last hunting season so we can showcase them in the 2013 edition of Colorado Hunter.
All you have to do is send me high-resolution photos of your favorite moments. The photos can be of an animal you saw passing you in the snow or one that you harvested. We want them all.
Any animal or hunting experience that you’d like to share with us, please do.
Additionally, if you like to write and have a hunting tale, please send it our way.
Last year, we published a great story about a father and daughter hunting team. Larry Claxton, who was 72 at the time, wrote about how his daughter shocked him by getting her hunting card so that she could go hunt with her dad.
The pride of that experience was evident in his writing.
Please send all submissions to nriley@CraigDailyPress.com. If you have any questions, please call me at 970-875-1790.
I will notify you if your submission is chosen to run in the magazine.
