TMH adds 3 new physicians to staff

The Memorial Hospital in Craig has added three new doctors to its staff.

The hospital in a news release announced the additions of Emergency Room Physician Dr. Nadia lovettz-Tereshchenko, OB/GYN Physician Dr. James Summers and Family Medicine Physician Dr. Jon Hamilton.

Don Myers, the Board of Trustee’s chair, said feels fortunate to have the doctors join the hospital team.

Lovettz-Tereshchenko started Wednesday in the Emergency and Trauma Department. Most recently she was an emergency medicine physician for Kaiser Permanente in North Valley, Calif., working in an E.R. that saw several thousand patients each year.

“The Craig community and its hospital are extremely appealing to me and my husband,” lovettz-Tereshchenko said in the release. “I’m eager to work alongside such an accomplished team in an environment that allows me to spend more one-on-one time with patients. The hospital administration has been incredible to work with.”

Summers, who worked at TMH from 2003-08, returns Feb. 4.

Summers has worked in rural and urban areas including Canon City, Kremmling, Steamboat Springs, Denver and Missoula, Mont.

Summers said he looks forward to connecting with both former and new patients, and returning to a great Western Slope town with wonderful people.

“It’s wonderful to come home to Northwest Colorado and an honor to be selected to join the exceptional TMH family,” Summers said in the release.

Hamilton is a 10-year family medicine physician voted “Favorite Family Practitioner” in Tulsa, Okla. in 2010 and 2011.

Hamilton will join the TMH team Feb. 15, making him the fifth member of the TMH Family Medicine team.

“I’m an easy-going, laid back person and think I’ll fit in wonderfully in the small-town caring environment,” Hamilton said in the release. “I look forward to taking care of people in the Craig community.”

Both Summers and Hamilton are now accepting appointments. To schedule an appointment call (970) 826-2400.
