Craig Daily Press wins 50 awards

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

The Craig Daily Press won 50 awards in the 2012 Colorado Press Association Better Newspaper Contest. The awards were presented to newspapers across the state during the Colorado Press Association’s annual convention at the Westin Downtown Denver Hotel on Saturday.

The Craig Daily Press once again was among the top awards recipients in its circulation class, which includes newspapers that distribute up to 6,000 copies of each edition.

“From our advertising consultants to our reporting and photography staff to our graphics designers, these awards are a testament to the quality and dedication of Craig Daily Press employees,” Editor Brent Boyer said. “And more than that, the awards are a tribute to the community and businesses that continue to support us, underscoring the value a strong community newspaper plays to this very day.”

Of the newspaper’s 50 awards, 18 were for first place.
