High school holds senior parent meetings

Moffat County High School hosts senior parent meetings Tuesday and Thursday.

Both begin at 6 p.m. in the high school library, 900 Finley Lane. Parents may attend either meeting.



They are meant to help walk students and parents through the college admission process.

CNCC nursing fundraiser coming up

The Colorado Northwestern Community College nursing class dinner fundraiser is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 7 at The Center of Craig.

This year’s dinner will be a Halloween theme. Nursing students will be dressed in appropriate costume attire to serve and attend to guests. The menu features lasagna, salad and bread catered by Carelli’s Italian Restaurant.

Entertainment includes an auction featuring quilts and other items and a fashion show of 1800s Halloween costumes provided by Katie’s Kostumes.

Tickets are $15 a person.

CNCC Outdoor Recreation schedule

Oct. 27 to 29 — Grand Valley Mountain Biking

Nov. 11 — Spring Cave Spelunking

Nov. 18 — Spring Cave Spelunking

Dec. 8 to 10 — Steamboat Resort Skiing or Snowboarding

All trips depart from the Rangely campus. Arrangements must be pre-arranged for Craig, Hayden, Meeker and South Routt students and community members for pre-trip meetings and departures.

Sign-up deadlines are before the pre-trip meetings. There are no refunds, unless trip is canceled.
