Board members appointed at TMH board of trustees meeting Thursday

At The Memorial Hospital at Craig’s regular meeting of the Board of Trustees last Thursday:
— The board welcomed interim CEO Joyce Hein to her first official meeting.
— The board welcomed newly appointed trustee Alman Nicodemus. The board also expressed appreciation for Forrest Luke’s interest in staying on the board and congratulated him on his reappointment.
— The board elected new officers. Don Cook was elected Chairman, Forrest Luke was elected Chair-elect and Todd Jourgensen was elected Secretary/Treasurer.
— Board members were appointed to committees.
o Credentials – Alman Nicodemus, Liaison; Gary Ellgen, Alternate
o Finance – Todd Jourgensen, Chair; Tinneal Gerber, Alternate
o Joint Conference – Gary Ellgen, Chair; Todd Jourgensen, Alternate
o Quality – Todd Jourgensen, Chair; Don Myers, Alternate
o TMH Foundation – Alman Nicodemus, Liaison; Todd Jourgensen, Alternate
o Medical Staff Liaison – Gary Ellgen; Don Cook, Alternate
o Medical Staff Development – Forrest Luke; Tinneal Gerber
o Board Development – Don Cook; Forrest Luke
— Official places for meeting notification were approved: TMH website, front foyer of TMH and the Moffat County Courthouse.
— Hein presented an end-of-year update to the 2012 strategic plan.
— Beka Warren presented the annual infection control report. TMH’s acquired infection rate is 0.99 percent, meaning about one in every 100 patients acquire an infection while at the hospital. The average infection rate for Critical Access hospitals is between three and four percent.
— Angela Smith, director of executive recruitment provided information about the CEO recruitment process. Smith estimated the search would take roughly four – six months.
