What’s going on at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Craig:
• Jeff Wallman of the Auto Tech program invited the Colorado Auto Teachers Society to have their bi-annual meeting in Craig. They accepted and will be at the college March 1 for an all-day meeting. Ten-twelve vendors will be coming as well to present the latest in teaching equipment and tools.
• The college has hired a new grants writer, Michael Melneck. Melneck comes from Hastings, Nebraska where he was the grants writer for the Hastings Museum. Melneck has a masters in fiction and film from Arkansas and a law degree from Blackstone in Chicago. He has also published a novel, Old Music, which is available online.
• CNCC is recruiting students’ region-wide for a program in Banking and Finance. It is a virtual classroom program. The program works well for financial institutions that want their employees to have continuing ed/professional development classes without having to travel. Contact Kathy Powell at (970) 824-1112 for more information.
For more information on any of these happenings contact CNCC marketing director Jeff Stoddard at (970) 675-3289.
