- Ashly and Brandon Shipman, of Craig, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Vada Ann-Marie Shipman, at 4:42 p.m. on Jan. 21, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital in Craig. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 20-1/4 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Jerry and Sandy Delay, of Craig, and Roy and Yvonne McAnally, Craig. Paternal grandparents are Dave Chapin, Craig, Kim Chapin, of Newton, Kan., and Johnny and Tonya Shipman, of Fairfax, Okla. The baby was welcomed home by big brother Adam, who is very excited.
- Jeannetta Hurtt and John Ages, of Craig, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Savanna Rae Ages at 7:25 a.m. on Feb. 2, 2013, at the Memorial Hospital in Craig. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 2.2 ounces and measured 20 inches in length. The baby was welcomed home by siblings Maria, 11, Brian, 11, Angel, 9, Madison, 6.

- Dinosaur National Monument seeks public comment on Deerlodge Road rehab project

- Dinosaur National Monument officials are seeking public comment about an environmental assessment compiled for potential upgrades to Deerlodge Road. Deerlodge Road, which encompasses about 12.7 miles of pavement, has exceeded its service life and also is being encroached upon by the Yampa River at the oxbow area near milepost 9.5, according to a Dinosaur National Monument news release.

- BLM defers 20 parcels in North Fork Valley

- The Bureau of Land Management announced Wednesday it will offer 151 parcels in Colorado for an oil and natural gas lease sale slated for later this month. The sale takes place Feb. 14 and the parcels total 88,578 acres, according to a BLM Colorado news release.
