Letters to Santa
3:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday
Craig Daily Press, 466 Yampa Ave.
— Children can bring their letters to the event, which includes refreshments and pictures with Santa Claus. Those who can’t make it that day can also drop off their letter beforehand or email it to santa@craigdailyp... by Dec. 18. For more information, call 970-824-7031.
The Craig Daily Press will be hosting a very special visitor this week.
Children who wish to meet Santa Claus will have the opportunity not only to get a glimpse of him but to give him your Christmas list from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Daily Press office, 466 Yampa Ave.
“When Santa called me to see if we would help collect letters from all of the little boys and girls from Craig, I immediately agreed we would help,” said Renee Campbell, CDP general manager. “I recruited my own elves, aka the employees of the Craig Daily Press/Print Shop.”
Those who attend can enjoy free hot chocolate and snacks, as well as a chance to get a photograph with the guest of honor. Bank of Colorado, Quality Plus 1 Hour Photo and Walgreen's will also be joining in on the fun.
The correspondence collected by the newspaper — which can also be dropped off beforehand or emailed to email@example.com by Dec. 18 — will find its way to the North Pole. Campbell said.
“For all of the kids who won't be able to make it, we promised Santa we would print all of the letters in the Craig Daily Press Monday, December 23 edition,” she said.
