Crime of the month

From the “You can’t make this stuff up” file:

Officers responded to a social gathering in Craig where underage drinking was reported. Upon arrival at the scene officers found a note on the front gate that read, “Come through the gate to the back door.” Officers accepted the invitation and interviewed several minors, including a handful that attempted to flee the scene through a basement window. An 18-year-old woman, the “host,” was upset officers entered her “private property.” The woman’s 16-year-old brother was equally upset and threatened to call his mother who would “rip the officers a new one.” Officers issued a variety of summons to those at the party.
