To the editor:
We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Little Snake River EMT crew for their diligent efforts after Steve Duncan sustained fatal injuries last week while working bulls near Dixon, Wyo.
We would also like to thank Anton Frederickson, of the Craig Church of Christ; Owen Grant, of Grant Mortuary; Valley Community Center employees Kathleen Chase and Kathi Terkla Herold; Recena Williams, from City Market’s floral department and Shirley Balleck from the Flower Mine for their beautiful floral arrangements; and Susan Leonhardt and Celia Corson, for accomplishing the impossible by compiling 51 years of pictures to project a photographic memorial of Steve’s life.
The ladies from Rebekah Lodge #21 in Dixon, the Craig Church of Christ, The LDS Relief Society in Baggs and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Dixon did a phenomenal job of uniting to provide an amazing meal for the many dear family members and friends who stayed after the service. The Little Snake River FFA, spurred to action by adviser Dale Wille and overseen by President Sarah Herold, did an exemplary job of setting up chairs and moving equipment to and from the school for the service.
We would also like to thank all of those who sent flowers, stopped by, brought food, called and came to the memorial service. Steve was a wonderful son, husband, father, uncle and brother and will be dearly missed.
Grant Mortuary has a remembrance page that can be accessed at www.grantmortuary.com. We would appreciate it if people could post humorous or other memorable stories that they remember about Steve, especially about his childhood, so that we can save them for his children.
