The annual youth bowling league at Thunder Rolls Bowling Center will begin Sunday.
The league, which in past years held rounds Saturday through Monday, is moving all divisions to Sunday evenings for the 2012-13 season.
Players of any skill level are welcome. Certified bowling coaches will be at each match, ready to help children improve their game.
Three divisions for children ages 3-18 are available. The pee-wee division, for children ages 3-6, will bowl starting at 5 p.m. Sundays, and will bowl one game. The cost per Sunday is $3.
The bantam division (ages 7-12) and high-roller division (ages 13-18) will both bowl starting at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. The cost for bantams and high-rollers is $7 per Sunday, and they bowl three games.
Bowlers only need to pay on Sundays during which they play. A yearlong membership is also needed. That costs $17 and includes a league t-shirt.
The league starts Sunday, but children may join at any point, up through the Western Slope League Tournament at Thunder Rolls in March.
“Kids can sign up throughout the year,” league organizer Chris Runyan said. “If they can’t start bowling til December, we’ll take them then. We want to see the sport of bowling grow.”
For more information, call Runyan at 620-1147 or 824-2695.
